Skin-contact white wine
Lidris Zal is a skin-contact white wine that brings together three signature Friulian grapes: 50% Friulano, 30% Ribolla Gialla and 20% Malvasia, grown in our vineyards in Tricesimo at 250 metres above sea level. The grapes macerate on their skins for two months and ferment with indigenous yeasts; the wine then rests six months in bottle. Its colour is golden yellow with amber reflections, slightly hazy.
On the nose it is fruity and intriguing, with ripe and dried fruit such as apricot, mango and orange peel, hints of medicinal herbs and spices and sweet notes of honey. On the palate it is structured and enveloping, with delicate tannins and a savoury finish typical of maceration. The persistence is clear and the finish dry and savoury, yet delicate at the same time.
